Taco Bell's Crunchadillas Are $2 and Its Double Dipping Burritos $5.99 — and Taco Bell Has Announced Neither

Published Oct 19, 2026Officially confirmed

Taco Bell's own menu now lists Classic Chicken and Sriracha Chicken Crunchadillas at $2.00, Steak and Slow-Roasted Chicken Double Dipping Burritos at $5.99 per two-pack, and Creamy Sriracha Chicken Nacho Fries at $5.49. Taco Bell's newsroom has published nothing about any of them. The October 15 arrival date reported by food publications is not Taco Bell's own, and Taco Bell has named no last day for any of the five items.

Not officially confirmed

The prices, names and descriptions on this page come from Taco Bell's own online menu. The October 15 arrival date does not: Taco Bell has announced no date, and that date is reported by food publications only. No end date for these items has been announced by anyone.

What was announced

Nothing, in Taco Bell's own voice. Taco Bell's newsroom carries no release for the Crunchadillas, the Double Dipping Burritos or the Creamy Sriracha Chicken Nacho Fries, and its October 15 release that day covered the Live Mas Cafe horchata expansion instead. What exists is a menu listing: Taco Bell's own site names each item, prices it and describes it. Sporked and Tasting Table reported the rollout on October 16, 2026, with Tasting Table putting the arrival at October 15; Sporked reported that customers found out by seeing the items on the menu boards.

Why it matters

An unannounced rollout leaves the two questions readers actually ask unanswered by the company: what it costs, and how long it lasts. The first is answerable from Taco Bell's own menu and is recorded here. The second is not answerable by anyone right now, and this page says so rather than converting menu boilerplate about new items being available for a limited time into an end date Taco Bell never gave. The Crunchadilla also arrives at the same $2 it carried in its Oklahoma City test in late 2025.

What Taco Bell's menu actually lists

Five items are involved, and each one appears on Taco Bell's own online menu with a price and a calorie count.

On the Specialties menu: the Classic Chicken Crunchadilla and the Sriracha Chicken Crunchadilla, both $2.00 and both 280 calories, alongside Creamy Sriracha Chicken Nacho Fries at $5.49 and 500 calories.

On the Burritos menu: Steak Double Dipping Burritos and Slow-Roasted Chicken Double Dipping Burritos, both $5.99 and both 620 calories.

Those figures are Taco Bell's, taken from its menu listings rather than from coverage of them. Taco Bell adds a caveat of its own next to them: choosing a store, it says, may alter prices and availability for certain menu items. So the figures above are what Taco Bell's national online menu shows, not a guarantee of what any one restaurant charges.

What each item is, in Taco Bell's words

Taco Bell describes the Classic Chicken Crunchadilla as a warm flour tortilla filled with a blend of mozzarella, pepperjack and cheddar cheeses, grilled marinated all-white-meat chicken, a crisp tortilla shell, sour cream and Creamy Jalapeno Sauce. The Sriracha Chicken Crunchadilla is described in identical terms with one substitution: Creamy Sriracha Sauce in place of the Creamy Jalapeno Sauce.

For the Double Dipping Burritos, Taco Bell describes a set of two snack-sized burritos filled with either grilled marinated steak or slow-roasted chicken, avocado ranch sauce and a blend of cheese, served with what it calls a special split dip cup — spicy ranch sauce on one side, and a seasoned blend of crushed tortilla chips and cheddar cheese crispies on the other.

The Creamy Sriracha Chicken Nacho Fries are described as Nacho Fries topped with slow-roasted chicken, a creamy Sriracha sauce, nacho cheese sauce, the three-cheese blend and pico de gallo.

Taco Bell has not announced any of this

Taco Bell's newsroom is publishing normally. As of October 19, 2026 its recent releases cover the Live Mas Cafe horchata expansion dated October 15 and the Milk Bar Birthday Cake Empanada dated October 8. Neither those releases nor any other on the page mentions a Crunchadilla, a Double Dipping Burrito or Creamy Sriracha Chicken Nacho Fries.

That gap is the reason this page exists. Sporked, which reported the rollout on October 16, said customers did not know the items had been released until they saw them listed on the menus. Tasting Table, reporting the same day, put the arrival at October 15. Neither cites a Taco Bell statement, and this site will not print a launch date that the company has not given — so the date above is attributed to Tasting Table and stays attributed until Taco Bell says otherwise.

How long they last: unknown, and nobody has said

No end date has been announced for any of the five items, by Taco Bell or by anyone reporting on them.

Taco Bell's new-items menu copy says only that all new menu items are available for a limited time. That is blanket wording that sits on the category page rather than on any individual item, so it is not a statement that these five are limited, and it carries no date. Sporked described the nacho fries as a limited-edition item but gave no last day either.

This page therefore records the end date as unknown rather than guessing one, and the limited-time status as unknown rather than reading it off boilerplate. That is the honest answer to the question people will arrive here asking.

The Crunchadilla spent a year in testing first

The Crunchadilla is not new as an idea. Brand Eating reported on December 14, 2025 that Taco Bell was testing it as a potential value-priced item at participating locations in the Oklahoma City area, at $2 — the same price the national menu now shows.

One detail did change between the test and the menu listing. Brand Eating described the test's spicy version as using a Sriracha Chile Crisp Sauce, and said the crisp shell was made from half a Mexican Pizza shell. Taco Bell's current listing for the Sriracha Chicken Crunchadilla names a Creamy Sriracha Sauce instead, and describes the shell only as a crisp tortilla shell. Whether that is a reformulation or just different wording is not something either source settles.
