Editorial standards
These are the rules Foodie Trend News holds itself to. They are enforced in the publishing system, not just stated here — an article that breaks one cannot reach the published state.
Nobody here has tasted anything
This site does not review food. It reports what has been announced, what is arriving, and what is going away. It will never tell you how something tastes as though someone here had tried it, because nobody has.
Where taste is relevant, it is attributed: what the company's own description says, or what named reviewers reported. The publishing system scans every page for unattributed sensory claims and blocks them.
Confirmed, and not confirmed
Every product page states whether the company itself has confirmed the item. A launch reported by publications but not announced by the brand is labelled as unconfirmed, and the headline says so rather than stating it as settled fact.
Prices, launch dates, and end dates are shown only when an official source states them. A price from a leak or a social post does not appear here at all — not in smaller type, not with a caveat.
Rumours
Rumours and leaks are not a focus. When one is covered, it is labelled at the top of the page, the headline reports the claim rather than asserting it, and the page is updated as soon as the company confirms or denies it.
Sources
Company announcements, official menus, and product pages rank above everything else. Established food publications come next, then multiple independent reports. Single anonymous posts are a reason to go and check something — never a source for a claim.
Every source is listed with its publisher, type, and the date it was last checked.
Dates
Publication dates reflect when a story ran; update dates reflect real changes to the facts. Neither is bumped to make a page look fresh. When a launch date passes or an item's status changes, the existing page is updated rather than replaced by a near-identical new one.
Images
Only images this site has the right to use appear here, with their credit and licence recorded. AI-generated images are never presented as photographs of a real product. Where no legitimate image exists, the page runs without one.
AI assistance
AI is used to spot emerging trends, gather sources, and draft structured content. It does not publish. Every AI-drafted page is reviewed before it goes live, and the system records who or what approved it.
Content used purely to develop and test the site is labelled as example content wherever it appears.
