Wendy's Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger Is Back — It Won a Bracket to Get There

Wendy's describes the Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger as its fresh, never-frozen quarter-pound beef patty with Beer Cheese Sauce, Applewood-smoked Bacon, Smoky Honey Mustard, Crispy Onions, Pickles and a slice of Muenster Cheese, all on a soft pretzel bun.

Two items extend it. The Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich is described as the same pub build on Wendy's Classic chicken filet. The Bacon Pub Fries are described as Wendy's fries with beer cheese, shredded cheddar and Applewood-smoked bacon crumbles.

This is the part worth recording, because it is a different mechanism from the usual seasonal rotation. Wendy's ran a 'Bring it Back' bracket earlier in 2026 and the Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger won it. The chain's own framing is that the vote made the decision: chief marketing officer Lindsay Radkoski said the bracket "made one thing clear: Wendy's fans wanted the Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger back, and we're excited to deliver."

A return that is the published outcome of a public vote is a more reliable signal than a return that arrives with no explanation, because it says the item cleared a demand test rather than a calendar slot. It says nothing about how long the return lasts, and Wendy's did not.

The other new item is a dessert. Wendy's describes the Apple Crumble Frosty Fusion as its Vanilla Frosty blended with a spiced apple syrup and oat crumbles.

The wording in the release is the interesting bit. Wendy's describes it in the release as being "for those craving a sweet taste of fall beyond pumpkin spice" — a chain positioning its seasonal dessert explicitly against the flavour that has owned the season. It is not the only one doing that this year, and the pattern is tracked separately on this site.

Wendy's published no prices with this announcement and no last day for any of the four items. It calls the menu limited-time and leaves it there. Wendy's restaurants are largely franchised and prices vary, so any single figure quoted for the Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger is not coming from the company.

Seven weeks on, nothing about that has changed. Re-checked on September 23, 2026, the Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger was still listed on Wendy's own national ordering menu, with its full build and nutrition — and with no price shown until a restaurant is selected, and no end date anywhere on the page. Wendy's footnote there says only that price and participation may vary.

So the answer to how long it lasts is still that Wendy's has not said, and the best available evidence that it is still being sold is that the company's own menu still lists it. An end date will be added here if Wendy's publishes one.
