Chipotle is bringing its discontinued margarita back for $6 at five U.S. restaurants, one weekend at a time through October 31, 2026, as a run-up to Boorito. Chipotle's own tour page states plainly that the drink is not returning to the permanent or national menu, so the only way to buy one is to be at one of five named addresses on one of ten specific days.

What’s coming back
The Chipotle Margarita, which Chipotle's announcement describes as a discontinued fan-favorite, is back for a limited time as part of a five-city pop-up tour Chipotle calls the Summon the Spirits Tour. Chipotle says it is resurrecting the original recipe: five ingredients, no artificial flavours or mixes. The return is bounded in a way most returns are not — ten days, five named addresses, six hours per day, one drink per guest — and Chipotle states that it is not coming back to the permanent or national menu.
When it was last around
Chipotle's own materials describe the margarita as discontinued and say fans have spent years asking for it back through social media posts and comments. Chipotle does not say when the drink left its menus, or in which markets it was sold, and it gives no reason for the original discontinuation. None of that is available from any Chipotle source published with this return, so this page does not state it.
How long: Two days per stop, 3-9 p.m. local time, ending October 31, 2026 — Chipotle: "Each pop-up lasts two days only."
Why people care
A discontinued restaurant drink coming back is normally either a permanent menu decision or a nationwide limited run. This is neither, and the gap between how the return reads and what it actually is — ten days, five restaurants, one drink each — is the thing worth knowing before anyone drives anywhere. Chipotle also ties it to Boorito, its annual Halloween promotion, which gives the tour a second reason to be on readers' radar this month.
The five stops, with addresses and dates
Chipotle is running one pop-up per weekend through October, Friday and Saturday, 3-9 p.m. local time. The schedule as Chipotle published it:
Stop 1 — Denver, Colorado. October 2 and 3. 2760 S. Colorado Blvd., Unit M, Denver, CO 80222. Chipotle opened the tour in its founding city.
Stop 2 — Brooklyn, New York. October 9 and 10. 185 Montague St., Brooklyn, NY 11201. Chipotle's press release files this stop under "New York, New York"; the tour page calls it Brooklyn, and the address is the same.
Stop 3 — Dallas, Texas. October 16 and 17. 2401 Victory Park Lane, Dallas, TX 75219. Chipotle says Dallas gets a frozen take on the margarita alongside the original, citing the city as the birthplace of the frozen margarita machine.
Stop 4 — Los Angeles, California. October 23 and 24. 7660 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90046.
Stop 5 — New Orleans, Louisiana. October 30 and 31. 2801 Magazine St., New Orleans, LA 70115. This is the Halloweekend finale and the last day the drink is scheduled to be available anywhere.
Denver has already happened. Four stops remain.
What the $6 actually covers
The press release and the tour page describe the $6 slightly differently, and the tour page is the more precise of the two.
The release says guests 21 and older "can enjoy a Chipotle Margarita for just $6". The tour page's FAQ puts it as: "The Summon the Spirits experience is $6 and includes one Chipotle Margarita. One per guest, while supplies last." So $6 is the entry price for the event and it comes with one drink, rather than being a per-drink menu price you can repeat.
Chipotle also describes the mechanics: show ID, collect a wristband and drink ticket, and pay the $6 either at entry or at the bar depending on the location. Margaritas are not sold through the normal Chipotle line — there is a designated event area.
Chipotle lists five ingredients: premium tequila, triple sec, citrus juice, agave nectar and a fresh lime wedge.
Why Chipotle brought it back now
Chipotle attributes the revival to sustained demand on social media. The release says fans "kept the discontinued drink alive online through nostalgic TikToks, throwback photos and requests for its return", and quotes user comments including "those margs were fireee" and "they need to run that back".
Stephanie Perdue, Chipotle's Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing, is quoted saying: "Fans never stopped talking about our margaritas after they left the menu, so Halloween felt like the perfect time to revive a Chipotle classic."
The timing is also doing a job for Chipotle: the tour is explicitly framed as a run-up to Boorito, the chain's annual Halloween promotion, which Chipotle says returns on October 31 with an in-restaurant entree offer. Chipotle has not yet published the Boorito details and says they come later in October.
When it left, and what Chipotle has not said
Chipotle's announcement calls the margarita a "discontinued" and "fan-favorite" drink, and says fans have been asking for it for years. Neither the press release nor the tour page says when the margarita came off Chipotle's menus, or why.
So this page does not say either. A reader looking for the date it disappeared will not find it in anything Chipotle has published about this return, and the reason for the original discontinuation has not been stated by the company at all.
