Dunkin' and L.L.Bean's first-ever collaboration ran as a week of fall offers from September 21 through National Coffee Day on September 29, 2026, which is its final day. The merchandise line went on sale September 29 at 10 a.m. ET on LLBean.com/dunkin and DunkinRunsonMerch.com, priced $24.95 to $79.95, and Dunkin' has announced no end date for it — it sells while supplies last.

What was announced
Dunkin' announced on September 21, 2026 that it and L.L.Bean were debuting their first-ever collaboration, running through the first week of fall and culminating on National Coffee Day. The announcement covers a Birdseye Sweater cup sleeve giveaway with any hot or iced coffee on September 22, a Bootmobile tour from September 21 to 29, an event at the L.L.Bean Seaport store in Boston on September 27, a free medium hot or iced coffee for Dunkin' Rewards members on September 29, and a merchandise line - Birdseye Sweater $79.95, Boat and Tote $59.95, L.L.Bean Coffee Tote $24.95 - launching September 29 at 10 a.m. ET.
Why it matters
Jill Nelson, chief marketing officer at Dunkin', said the two brands had been part of the same routines and traditions in New England for decades, and Nick Wilkoff, chief marketing officer at L.L.Bean, said the collection was meant to bring a touch of Dunkin' to two L.L.Bean staples. For a reader, the useful part is that it is not one drop but six dated events across nine days, on four different channels, with only one of them carrying a stated end date.
The week, date by date
Dunkin' announced the collaboration on September 21, 2026, and structured it as a week of separate events rather than a single drop. Four dates matter:
Monday, September 21 - the L.L.Bean x Dunkin' Bootmobile began its tour, travelling from Maine toward Massachusetts in a Birdseye Sweater-inspired wrap.
Tuesday, September 22, the first day of fall - guests who bought any size hot or iced coffee at participating Dunkin' locations nationwide could receive a limited-edition Birdseye Sweater cup sleeve, one per order, while supplies last. That date has passed.
Tuesday, September 29 - the L.L.Bean Seaport store in Boston, 56 Seaport Blvd., hosts an event from 9 a.m. to noon with a donut wall, custom donuts and MUNCHKINS Donut Hole Treats, and complimentary Dunkin' coffee and Refreshers, while supplies last. Dunkin' says this is also an early chance to shop the collection, with one hour before its national release at 10 a.m. This page previously gave September 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., which is what Dunkin's summary paragraph still says; the dated section of the same release gives September 29, 9 a.m. to noon, and that is what this page now follows.
Tuesday, September 29, National Coffee Day - the free coffee offer, the national launch of the collection on LLBean.com/dunkin at 10 a.m. ET, and the release of a second accessory, the L.L.Bean Coffee Tote.
What the collection costs
Dunkin' published prices for all three paid items in its announcement.
The Birdseye Sweater is $79.95 - an L.L.Bean classic reworked with a custom Birdseye pattern. The Boat and Tote is $59.95, pairing Dunkin's orange and pink with embroidered L.L.Bean and Dunkin' logos. Both go on sale at LLBean.com/dunkin on September 29 at 10 a.m. ET.
The third item, the L.L.Bean Coffee Tote, is $24.95 and sells through a different channel: DunkinRunsonMerch.com from 10 a.m. ET, and at select Dunkin' locations in Maine while supplies last. Dunkin' points to the store locator on that site to find a participating location.
The cup sleeve is not sold at all. It comes with a qualifying coffee order on September 22, and only while supplies last.
The free coffee, and what it excludes
The National Coffee Day offer is narrower than the headline suggests, and the exclusions are where it usually goes wrong for people.
Dunkin' states the offer is for Dunkin' Rewards members: a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase, ordered through the Dunkin' app. Its terms limit it to September 29, 2026, single-use per member, at participating U.S. stores, and it cannot be combined with another offer, promotion or coupon.
Two categories are named as excluded outright: Cold Brew and hot espresso beverages. A latte or a cold brew does not qualify for the free drink.
Where the Bootmobile stops
Dunkin' published a full tour schedule. The Bootmobile makes fourteen stops across three states between September 21 and September 29, with morning stops generally 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and afternoon stops 2 to 4 p.m.
Maine: Old Town, 975 Stillwater Ave. and Falmouth, 65 Gray Road on September 21; Kittery, 400 US-1 on the morning of September 22.
New Hampshire: North Conway, 1946 White Mountain Highway on the afternoon of September 22; Warner, 103 Route 103 W and Lebanon, 191 S. Main St. on September 23; Nashua, 514 Daniel Webster Highway on the morning of September 24.
Massachusetts: Newburyport, 167 State St. on the afternoon of September 24; Fenway Park, 4 Jersey St. in Boston on September 26 from 5 to 8 p.m.; Beverly, 411 Cabot St. on September 27; North Reading, 13 Main St. and Woburn, 305 Mishawum Road on September 28; Cambridge, 65 JFK St. and Saugus, 533 Broadway on September 29.
There is no stop on Friday, September 25. Dunkin' states that stops and timing are subject to change, and that gift cards are available at stops rather than guaranteed.
Dunkin's announcement contradicts itself on two dates
Re-read on September 29, 2026, Dunkin's press release still disagrees with itself in two places, both in the same direction: the summary paragraph at the top carries one set of dates, and the dated section below it carries another.
The cup sleeve. The summary says the giveaway is "on Sept. 24". The dated section lists it under "Tuesday, Sept. 22 - First Day of Fall", the release's own FAQ says September 22, and Dunkin's separate blog post about the giveaway gives September 22 in its body and its FAQ. Three of four statements point at September 22, so that is the date this page uses.
The Boston event. The summary says the Seaport activation is "on Sept. 27". The dated section says "Tuesday, Sept. 29" from 9 a.m. to noon. The dated version is the one that holds together: Dunkin' says guests get one hour to shop the collection before its national debut at 10 a.m., and the debut is 10 a.m. on September 29, which a 9 a.m. start on the 29th fits exactly and a September 27 event does not.
In both cases the summary paragraph appears to carry superseded dates. A reader planning a trip should follow the dated section.
A smaller inconsistency runs alongside them: the release names the second accessory the "L.L.Bean Coffee Tote" at $24.95 in its body, and the "L.L.Bean Mini Tote" in its FAQ.
What has no end date
Only one part of this collaboration has a stated last day. The Bootmobile tour ended on September 29.
Everything else is open-ended. Dunkin' describes the cup sleeve, the Coffee Tote and the Seaport event refreshments as available while supplies last, and gives no closing date for the LLBean.com collection beyond its September 29 start. No end date has been announced for the merchandise.
That is the honest answer to "how long do I have": the cup sleeve giveaway was a single day, September 22, and has passed; the free coffee offer is valid on September 29 only; and for the collection, on sale from September 29, no closing date has been announced.
Common questions
- When is National Coffee Day 2026?
- Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Dunkin' states the date in its announcement and built the final day of the collaboration around it.
- How do you get the Dunkin' x L.L.Bean cup sleeve?
- Buy any size hot or iced coffee at a participating Dunkin' location on Tuesday, September 22. Dunkin' limits it to one cup sleeve per qualifying order, nationwide, while supplies last, and says exclusions and terms apply.
- What does the L.L.Bean x Dunkin' collection cost?
- Dunkin' lists the Birdseye Sweater at $79.95 and the Boat and Tote at $59.95, both on LLBean.com/dunkin from September 29 at 10 a.m. ET. The L.L.Bean Coffee Tote is $24.95 on DunkinRunsonMerch.com and at select Dunkin' locations in Maine.
- Is the free National Coffee Day coffee available to everyone?
- No. Dunkin' states it is for Dunkin' Rewards members, with any purchase, ordered through the Dunkin' app, on September 29, 2026 only. It is single-use per member, valid at participating U.S. stores, and excludes Cold Brew and hot espresso beverages.
- When does the collaboration end?
- Dunkin' has not announced an end date for the merchandise, and describes it as available while supplies last. The only stated last day is for the Bootmobile tour, which ends September 29.
- Is the cup sleeve giveaway on September 22 or September 24?
- September 22, on the evidence Dunkin' has published. The release's body and one of its FAQ answers give September 22, as does Dunkin's separate blog post about the giveaway. A single line in the release's FAQ says September 24 and is contradicted by the rest.
